On the first day of his first Hunt Test, Jagger did not “get it” and up to that point, had never pointed a bird. The next day, the light bulb came on and he received scores of all “10’s”. It was onward and upward after that. At his first Field Trial, a German Shorthaired Pointer event, Jagger earned a 3rd placement. He then went on to the South Louisiana Vizsla Club Field Trial in February of 2008 and made a clean sweep – winning all four of the puppy/derby stakes and earning all of his puppy/derby points in one weekend! When asked what set Jagger apart, the judges commented, “Jagger started strong and ended strong, he had an energetic and happy style, and he stayed up front during the entire run.” Additionally, one judge added that he was “a thinking dog.” His owner/handler, David Black, also won kudos for his sensitivity to Jagger and his ability to let his dog do what he could do without trying to control him. Jagger has a sweet and playful nature and a handsome presence. These qualities have been the contributing factors to his completion of his show championship. His owners and his sister, Lola, adore him.
